Tarifa

Our first glimpse of the Med in 2006 at Cape Tarifa - appatrently the windiest spot in Europe, as Terry's hair can attest!

Beside the famous Trafalgar Lighthouse

The lighthouse stands on Cape Trafalgar over-looking the site of Nelson's last battle. The Spanish don't seem to mention the result on any of the signs, though!

Little Britain!

We had lunch on the beach at Trafalgar, not realising that Andy was sitting right behind us! By the way, it was February.

Work Begins

Terry starts the process by emptying the engine oil.

Engine space

and with the engine out, here's what's left - a mess!

Ivor

2/3rds of what is left of Ivor the engine.

New Engine!

What a mess! the inside of Roam during engine re-fit.

Pole Dance on 'Chinook'

Not a dance really. We called it the compression test, as the pole that Terry is trying to squeeze behind supports the mast above and is called a 'compression post'. Terry was the only one of us to fail as frankly, he is too fat!
