1. Egypt: Luxor

We were lucky enough to have a 3 day inland trip to Luxor to see the temples of Luxor, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. It was well worth the trip even though we were sharing the space with thousands of other tourists tramping on and climbing over these sacred ruins in some entirely inappropriate dress - lurex, cleavage and amazing footwear - mostly Russians it has to be said, but at times we were almost distracted from the history and just amazed at the dress code!
